History buffs can come in all shapes and sizes. Cultural historians... Social historians... Political historians... Economic historians... The list goes on.

The joy of history is being able to look at the past through different perspectives. However, you might not always agree on the perspective someone uses to explain the past. That is why I feel my idea for history blog would create a perfect experience for all history buffs.

Picture this: One event in history, multiple different historians, and the choice to pick which lens of history to look through. This blog will make it so that the readers can have a say in what events in history they want to read about (thanks to commenting and discussion boards). Once an event is chosen the historian bloggers get to work examining the event from different historical perspective. One may choose to write about the economics factors surrounding the event and another historian will look at the fashions the participants would be been wearing. This isn't just your play by play blog. It will be an inclusive history of the event; all the way down to little details of the event.

It would be silly to expect everyone to find the same facts and retelling exciting. So, by giving readers the option to pick their historical perspective everyone is able to learn what they want to.

1 Not everything blogged about will be historical in nature. Some blogs will address the methods and technologies involved in the teaching of history.
